With the weather cooperating finally, this week-end we decided to enjoy the boat and be “the dock queen” for two days. The entire family along with *E*’s dear friend *E* were determined to enjoy two days of seasonal temperature with superb blue sky and sunshine.
All [...] No…no we didn’t desert the blog or left town, we were just away for three days on a mini cruise. And while learning a few new tricks, we also celebrated : our 19th year of union, reminding each other how lucky we are to have the same goal in life, lucky to have one another [...] Warning this is a rant and I usually speak my mind, so if you are offended by opinion in general just wait for tomorrow’s post you’ve been warned don’t come complain to us. Three nights ago we attending another talk on offshore sailing, *V* and I came out of it wondering if we were [...] It is a happy day for sure, as we officially sold our Nacra F18 and transferred our knowledge to the new owner. Just in time for the season, we couldn’t have hoped for a better timing: only days before we had to pay for the annual storage fees. Although we now have a larger boat [...] Yes we will get use to it, we know!! we know… Though, for our first real windy day and in a new slip we wanted to pay attention to our second home and realized the danger. In other words, we spent the day on the boat, and our attention to detail paid! The quick response [...] We received word that our new marina slip was available for us to move into over the week-end. Weather hasn’t been cooperative in the last few days, so we decided that today was the day. A nice in and out to burn the condensation in the engine and we were back in. We docked in [...]
What better way to enjoy a few hours relaxing before setting back to work! Although a winning lottery ticket could be a nice add on? Yes, we still can ask for more. But, what’s the point anyway! nobody is listening and taking petty…. lol Today, we enjoyed a beautiful day [...] And today is no exception. We have been following Rebecca and Mike, from Zero to cruising. Their blog is instructive fun and inspiring. This morning, was not to be, the usual frolic reading of the past year. Rebecca and Mike have just reached their milestone for any East coast cruiser, just celebrated their 6 [...] The dark clouds had decided to push away, and out came the sun, a nice crisp morning. What else can we ask for? you may wonder. A perfect day to visit our boat, needless to add we also needed to pick up our recent purchase : safety gears! As we arrived and started to relax, [...] It was indeed a wonderful way to start the year! As some of you may wonder, we didn’t go sailing on that day, although temptation was close, similarly we felt that the fatigue factor was taking too much space in our bodies….
