How do a village nested 100 kilometers from the nearest highway stays alive? But first we will re-count the battle that Valerie had with a deep breathing swimmer last night. Not long after the deep breathing [...] Undoubtedly we could have stayed longer and enjoyed all the friendships we had made but the call for warmer weather is building up stronger and we untied our lines around noon. Unfortunately, we scared ourselves at departure as we touched the dock from the surge coming to the side and heard a light crack! *Nooooo!* [...] Yes, we are still in Ensenada and working, this was the plan and we are sticking to it. The weather enable us to work non-stop all day long by been mild, we have all the commodity not far and also in need of rest, after sprinting down the west coast. So our days have been [...] I am already in trouble, my editor went on strike!! Oh well… We have seen the crew during the last few days, we heard the roaring engines, now we can say we saw the beast or add an “r” if you wish. Ensenada is in ebullition about the Baja 1000, it departs tomorrow and [...] We left our daughter in the lounge of the San Diego Yacht club at 5am… What kind of parents are you! Who does that? Well, now you know: us, the parents on “letitgo”. For those who are wondering, she is back in the city and doesn’t miss us a bit… Although we will all miss [...] Were you missing us? Three days without a post, what’s going on with the “Letitgo” family? Well nothing much really, we are just moving along the coast going further south and following our latitude reduction program! Before anything though here is the moment we have been waiting for the last 2 years: Ladies and Gentlemen, [...] Only a few words for yesterday and one picture to summarize the day.
We are all back together after a perfect day of hard work and lucky flight schedule. The cherry on the cake was a member of the Oakland Yacht club, Shari giving us a ride and back to [...] One more day and the crew will be back together, so what do we do to prepare for the arrival of the chief? Task number one: a trip to the local chandelry after having re-learned yesterday the smart move to not go outside when it’s hot and past 11am. For the record 94 degrees is hot [...] We left Napa and its brown water behind, but not before we had a great dinghy ride up the river to the city.
