Now back at my desk for a good part of the day, I need something to dream, oh, sorry “learn”. And with that said, today I have just found the best way to do this! Sadly letitgo is not equipped with one which ultimately makes me a bit nervous, as I like to record trend and see possible issues ahead of time, of course this will be a future [...] This is one of the mysteries of the lagoon 380, the disappearing boot cover. They are located where the sail drive comes out of the hull, and have a tendency to get away on a regular basis! We have one that walked and we couldn’t figure how to replace it. As we received our order from Yanmar superbly packed, I am feeling like a kid in a candy store while I open the box! *K* got the big and beautiful official utility box with his offshore kit.

No joke, this task was really giving me white hair, and nightmares! We are talking fuel line here, which is a vital component of the boat. [...] And Christmas it was! for a cruiser anyway…. In the big box were two big Racor filters 500MA plus enough filter to keep us going for a while. We decided to go with them to avoid any problem on future survey, we could have saved a few dollars with the 500 FG but they are [...] For a while now, I have been trying to fine tune our 4 stroke mercury, and as I am still an amateur at it, I prefer to have the shop manual. However, the PDF is quite tricky to obtain and mostly available by order through dealer at the cost of $90 for a paper copy! [...] Our hands are just starting to show some black marks, along with that fact, my understanding of the magical diesel engine is starting to pan out. Again, even if all that knowledge we are acquiring is above and beyond, it is still amazing to go as far as deconstructing the engine; something we would never [...] The following photo could be disturbing for grown up boat owner, we request viewer discretion. We all know that if you see this is real life, the big cheque is not far behind. This is why, you don’t ever want to see those parts of your engines.
