Our week-end was a blurr: our hosts spoiled us and really showed us why Ensenada is such a fast growing community. From two years ago, the city has grown exponetially and modernized in all aspect. No more fear of the policeman, we are officially legal tourists in Mexico And for future references, know that Ensenada makes it easy for us cruisers; the marina will prepare all the papers. It is then a five minutes’ walk, and you are at the central office, a little back and forth between [...] Lazy day under a blue sky, let us share with you some of the picture that represent the mood. We had a great walk over the hill and discovered another side of the island, even had homemade pumpkin pie for dinner, ok and some chocolat for Halloween.
For the film [...] It all started with an order to stay in bed from Benjamin, after we had admired the blue sky! Breakfast was served in the cockpit, mimosa (Thanks Sophie for the small bottle of bubbly) chocolate chip pancakes and lots of other treats. Jokingly, I mentioned that Ben must not be on the schedule for dishwashing [...] What a treat, a Harbor that has been developed properly with a nice mix of entertainment, a good fishing/boat yard balance, superb weather and a yacht club with amazing people. What else could we ask for? Nothing! Life is good at this stage of our cruiser career.
The South Californian [...] You are so hospitable to sailors/cruisers; you know how to throw a party and your people are friendly. We have been here for 1 month today and under the Golden Bridge we sailed; today the only difference was, we chose our time of day and the 4 of us were onboard. But first let [...] Officially fleet day open today, we know it doesn’t fill like it. Having been in the middle of it for two days already. So what happen? Your friend on Scootfree joined us here and we shared the excitement all together. Three boats were dragging toward them, so they relocated and rafted with us. A few [...] This week-end we are not talking peace and love, we are watching shear power of war machine. Fleet week is in full motion, the soldiers are starting to arrive in town, the bands are marching, and the flag are flying high. The recruitment centers are booming with new recruit, all is good in this business [...] We can never escape our past, and when a jet flies overhead the family is wide eyed. That is why this morning; we had to get out of the comfort of the Encinal YC early to catch the tide and beat the traffic including the setup of the safety box. All to reach Aquatic Park [...] While we were busy working on Letitgo today, *B* decided to go for a walk. The beach is always his peaceful spot where he regularly enjoys a nice stroll. But today a surprise was awaiting him: he discovered a bottle with something inside it! Being true to himself and unable to hold his curiosity any [...] |
