Now back at my desk for a good part of the day, I need something to dream, oh, sorry “learn”. And with that said, today I have just found the best way to do this! You simply follow your friends under sail. Now don’t think that I am stalking them, I just mean following their [...] Since we landed back home and are slowly (ever so slowly) getting back to reality *V and I* have both realized how lucky we have been to be part of such a trip. As *R* was mentioning while underway, not many people get to experience this before their own take off, it was an awesome [...] We spent our last night on board Letitgo, and made it to *K&C*’s boat the next morning, refreshed and ready to “rock”! Food and personal belongings were loaded, the freezer was full in no time and all *K&C*’s family and close friends were at the dock. Of course, many pictures were taken and soon enough [...] Just realized this morning that we our site was hacked, indeed some people have different goals in life. Our blog is sooo important… We’ve been really relaxed during our last few days of the trip, and we didn’t write anything but please bare with us there is still lots to tell! On our return [...] For the last two Sundays, we had on board two sets of friends and they certainly did not get the same experience! Mother Nature wanted to remind us that we cannot control “Her”, there are many things we can control in our lives but neither money nor power can take over the weather. A [...] We are starting the week with another escapade; few days of relaxation (so we are hoping); we are the three of us onboard, the weather seems decent, flip flops are on, and we have some wind to start our first tack. *V* at the helm mentions that she would like to change our heading to [...] Our short outing over the week-end was also to warm up the engines! That is why once I had played with my temp gauge we decided it was a perfect day and time to drift and enjoy a lunch away from everyone with such a beautiful sunshine! Which was what we were we doing when [...] While performing the open heart surgery on our holding tank, we also passed our Vessel safety check from the local Coast guard auxiliary! Which could save us some aggravation at a later date, during the summer. It was full day event organized with the Coast guard Auxiliaries, and the fire brigade. A real hands on [...] Every time we meet with circumnavigators we feel very fortunate, especially if they are willing to share their adventures with us! This week was one of those, we met with Nancy Erley . With her two circumnavigations under the belt, she has not lost any of her great sense of humor, nor became a diva [...] Sometimes you discover things by mistake and this is what happened to us yesterday, a tube of caulking rolled in one of the Lagoon 380 black hole. Now this is a marine one so…. for $15 a piece it’s getting my interest in a heart beat. My “skinny” arm couldn’t even get close, I couldn’t [...] |
