Learning to take time to avoid costly mistake.

In order to minimize mistake it seems like a good idea to survey friends, and learn from their experience, or as they say : by ignorance we mistake, and by mistakes we learn! Although it is easier said than done, we have all made some stupid moves, and for anyone wondering : “No! I am not talking about your choice of first girlfriends or the stupid photo you just posted on Facebook!”

It is more in line with one cruiser we met recently; even though he has not left yet, he is already reselling the “good deals” he had made in during his preparation stage. One may wonder why? The answer is simple on that one, because he didn’t do his research and had a shelf full of unwanted or rather unneeded items. Despite the temptation, we can resist and came up with a plan!

We decided to put a list of all the items we really need, and have assigned a budget to it! From now on we will only purchase one piece of equipment at a time and will only allow ourselves to purchase the next when the previous one is paid for! This should limit the “mistake” and make us think twice, before we purchase some Wants and not Needs. Since I love to plan, and *V* pays attention to what we spend on, we are in good shape! As I was referring earlier, about girlfriend, mine was a bad choice too, not to worry you are not alone.

So let’s have a look at the first draft (the number on the top right corner seems a bit scary! I know…)
